Oft gelangt der Auftrag von Ärzten an mich, mittels des SKID-II* einmal herauszufinden, ob ein bestimmter Patient eine Persönlichkeitsstörung hat und welche. Man tappe diagnostisch eigentlich noch völlig im Dunkeln. Die Antwort müsste lauten: "Wenn Ihr es ohne SKID-II nicht wisst, werdet Ihr es mit dem SKID-II erst recht nicht wissen."

I often get commissions from doctors asking me to find out by SCID-II whether a particular patient has a personality disorder and which one, adding that, frankly, they are still groping in the dark about diagnosis. The answer would have to be: "If you don’t know it without SCID-II, you’ll know it even less with SCID-II."
